Our Family Story

Our path to Full Life Services

Linda and Joe Potts moved to rural Williamson County Texas 19 years ago with their son Ryan who has an Intellectual Developmental Disability (IDD). We built our home next  door to a large community of our friends with IDD. Linda was a Dental Hygienist and Joe was a Physical Therapist. Our family volunteered with our friends next door in summer camps, building projects, recreational activities and all manner of social and community activities. After our retirement we decided to formalize our efforts for our friends with IDD so we formed Full Life Services, a 501(c)3 nonprofit

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide support, guidance and fellowship to people with IDD , to help them live a fulfilling and meaningful life that they choose, in the community of their choice. This includes but is not limited to hobbies, recreation, travel, spirituality and with the Civil Rights they deserve as full persons in the community.

Our Vision

Our vision is to further develop  Full Life Services into a dynamic service organization that supports people with IDD in all aspects of the "full life" that they choose in the community of their choice.

This can not happen without a foundation of full Civil Rights for people with IDD. So, we will also focus on IDD Advocacy and IDD legal Civil Rights.  People with IDD still do not have the liberty and freedom to choose where and with whom to live, if they want to receive government community funding under HCS.
